FINCA LA MACARENA Cauca, located in the breathtaking southwestern region of Colombia, is a department predominantly nestled in the majestic Andes mountains. This area is not just known for its stunning landscapes but also plays host to part of the Andean Volcanic Belt. The volcanic soil in this region is rich in minerals, creating the perfect conditions for cultivating exceptional coffee. One standout producer in this vibrant coffee landscape is Oscar Riascos, who operates his farm, Finca La Macarena, in the charming town of Piendamó, Cauca. Oscar is fortunate to live in close proximity to the renowned coffee producer Wilton Benitez, whose state-of-the-art processing facilities are well-known in the industry. This advantageous relationship allows Oscar to utilize more scientific methods for processing his yearly crops compared to the average Colombian coffee farmer. As a result, his coffee not only stands out for its quality but also gives him a competitive edge in the bustling coffee market.
