ABOUT SUGARCANE ETHYL ACETATE DECAFFEINATION
We have been sourcing our decaffeinated coffee from Descafecol for an extended period, and we appreciate the opportunity to evaluate the coffee both prior to and following the decaffeination process. We consistently find their decaf impressive due to its high quality. Descafecol employs the ethyl acetate (EA) decaffeination method, which utilizes a naturally derived solvent from sugarcane to gently remove caffeine. The process involves steaming the green coffee, soaking it in the EA solution to extract caffeine, and then steaming it again to eliminate any residual solvent. This method effectively preserves the coffee’s original characteristics and is commonly referred to as “sugarcane” or “natural EA” decaf. It is a clean and sustainable approach that ensures full flavor without the presence of caffeine.

His strategic location lets him oversee the entire journey — cultivation, processing, and export — ensuring each lot meets his exacting standards.
